Wrap around care

At Heath Lane, we provide care before, during and after core nursery hours that fits your busy lives, and leaves children nourished, rested and happy.

From active and outdoorsy to quiet and focused, children do a huge range of activities. In our sessions, they gain new experiences and skills, get quality time with practitioners, and have lots of fun while they’re at it!

Nursery can be tiring, so we make sure children have time and space to rest if they want to. We offer nutritious snacks throughout the day and a light tea after school, providing them food that’s balanced, healthy and satisfying.

Booking & Fees

We know that flexibility is important to you, so you only need to commit to the days and times that work for you. We encourage advance booking, so we give children the right supervision. But we understand that life can be unpredictable - do get in touch at admin@heathlane.herts.sch.uk if you have short notice childcare needs.

Our fees are more affordable than typical after school clubs. Find all our session prices below.

Breakfast Club - 8am - 8.30am
£4.50 per session

We give children a full spread of nourishing foods, including fruit, toast and cereals, that will sustain them throughout the morning. Practitioners children know and trust encourage them to converse, modelling social etiquette and scaffolding new language.

Lunch Club - 11.30 am - 12.30 pm

Children sit at tables of six and eat their packed lunches. Our practitioners accompany children to keep them safe, encourage them to talk to one another, and model social pleasantries.

After eating, children sing and play ring games where they learn more about rhythm, rhyme and repetition.

Children must bring a packed lunch from home. We have a strict No Nuts policy.

Stuck for ideas? This leaflet will help you make healthy packed lunches for your child.

After School Club - 3.30pm - 4.30pm

After School Club - 3.30pm - 5.30pm

Children help our practitioners prepare a light, nutritious tea which they eat together. Then they do a varied schedule of activities that’s built around their interests. From arts and crafts to outdoor play, this is a chance for them to relax, explore and direct their own play.

They also get plenty of quality time with our practitioners. Depending on your needs, you can book your child in for one or two hours.
