Being physically active is essential to children’s development and wellbeing. It also lays the foundation for lifelong skills like writing, personal care and manual tasks. At Roots, physical activity is fun and social. Children are motivated to keep it up throughout their education, so they go on to lead long and healthy lives.
Our Approach to Physical Activity
Fine Motor Skills
Children have ample free time to explore the outside area - digging in the mud patch, and climbing on the apparatus, building strength, agility and coordination.
Our practitioners lead outdoor game sessions which build teamwork, complex rule following and a love of being active!
We help children with fine motor control, by giving them tools and games that encourage threading, twisting, cutting, squeezing and more. These help them build critical life skills like writing, personal care and manual tasks.
