Head of School's Message
Welcome back and thank you for your patience on Monday with our untimely gas leak!

Our fortnightly catch-up calls are an important opportunity to discuss your child’s individual progress and development. To ensure we can dedicate time to every family while managing our busy nursery schedule, these calls are limited to 10 minutes. This allows us to provide meaningful updates while keeping communication efficient.

If you are unavailable for your scheduled call, we will follow up with an email to keep you informed. Should you require a longer discussion, please let us know, and we can arrange a separate meeting with Jessica, our School Improvement Lead or myself (Clare), the Head of School, at a mutually convenient time.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Dates coming up:
Monday 3rd March - Duckling eggs will be arriving. The children will get the opportunity to watch them hatch into ducklings.

Tuesday 4th March is Shrove Tuesday and we will be learning how different cultures celebrate this day.

All of next week (3rd to 7th March) we will be celebrating our own Heath Lane Book week.

Reminders:
If you went on a walk during the half term and collected natural resources such as pine cones, leaves, stones, twigs and wild fallen petals. Please bring these into Nursery as soon as possible as these are to be used in our mud kitchen area to make recipes and enhance our imaginative play.
Book & Rhyme of the week
This week as part of Heath Lane Book Week and linking in with Shrove Tuesday we will be reading the story "Supertato Catastro-Pea!" by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. We will be making props, listening & creating music and celebrating by performing in our own carnival at the end of the week.

As part of Heath Lane Book Week and World Book Day each child will be gifted a book along with a voucher which they can use to exchange for a book at selected retailers.

Learning At Home
Go on a nature walk with your child and explore the shapes in the environment.

Look for shapes in leaves, stones and other natural objects. Talk about what you find together.
Success Story of the Week
The children have enjoyed their trip to the library where they went on a tour and listened to a story being retold by a member of the library. At the end of the visit they got to choose a book with their own library card. If your child has not yet been on their trip we are hoping to take them next week.

We will be keeping the books and their cards at Nursery for the next few weeks before returning the books to the library and sending their library cards home.

Let us know if you require your library card to be returned sooner.
