Inclusion Strategy

At Heath Lane Nursery School, we believe that every child deserves to feel valued, included and able to thrive. Our Inclusion Strategy sets out how we create an environment where all children, regardless of their starting point, needs or circumstances, can participate fully in nursery life and make strong progress.
Our approach is built on the belief that barriers should be identified early and addressed proactively. We work closely with families, external professionals and our Federation partners to ensure that children receive the right support at the right time, without waiting unnecessarily for diagnoses or specialist involvement.
The strategy outlines how we:
-
Create an inclusive, accessible and welcoming learning environment for all children.
-
Support communication, language, emotional wellbeing and self-regulation.
-
Adapt teaching and learning to meet a wide range of needs.
-
Provide targeted support where children need additional help.
-
Develop strong partnerships with parents, carers and external agencies.
-
Ensure children with complex, medical or rare needs can participate fully in nursery life.
-
Monitor the impact of our work to continually improve outcomes for children.
Our inclusion work reflects our vision that every child is seen, heard and belongs. Through high-quality teaching, early intervention and meaningful family partnerships, we strive to give every child the strongest possible foundation for future learning and development
