Head of School's message
As we reach the end of our first half term, I want to take a moment to thank our pupils, staff, and families for a wonderful start to the school year. It has been a busy few weeks full of learning, laughter, and new experiences.

Our school values of Safety, Confidence, and Respect have truly been at the heart of everything we do. Children have shown great care for one another, growing in confidence both in and outside the classroom, and treating each other—and our school environment—with kindness and respect.

I am incredibly proud of how our community continues to live out these values every day. Thank you to everyone for your hard work, positivity, and support.

I wish all our families a restful and enjoyable half-term break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another exciting term ahead.

Book & Rhyme of the week

After the October Half Term our next Structured Stories Book is "Rosie's Walk" by Pat Hutchins.
We will start with the immersion phase of Structured Storytelling, where the children will explore the story through various engaging activities. They will learn about prepositions through participating in physical activities outside. This phase is crucial when developing understanding and language.

Our key vocabulary of the text is "across", "around", "over", "under", "through" and "past". Please see below link to story;

After Half Term the Rhyme of the week is going to be "I had a little turtle".

This Rhyme will help us to get ready for our special visitor to the Nursery! It will also help the children to understand the Makaton signs for 'eat' and 'drink' which will further support the children's ability to communicate their needs.

Language of the week
We are lucky to have a rich and diverse community with lots of different languages. Our language of the week is Albanian, which is spoken by some of our children and their families.

Please find below links of how to say "Hello" and "Goodbye" in Albanian. Please practise with your child at home.

The site offers clear, practical advice and trusted information on supporting children’s development, health, and wellbeing from birth to early years.
It includes guidance on topics such as learning through play, nutrition, emotional development, and preparing for school – all designed to help every child get the best possible start in life.
Success story of the week
Our success story from this week truly highlights the spirit of our nursery’s core values. Parents came in to share their experiences and joy of celebrating Diwali with our children. It was a heart warming session where the children were introduced to the beautiful traditions, stories, and values that Diwali embodies. The parents engaged the children with colourful decorations, spirited stories, and even showcased traditional attire, which sparked curiosity and excitement. This interactive session not only enriched their cultural understanding but also emphasized the importance of embracing and celebrating our diverse backgrounds.
Such partnerships with families deeply resonate with our mission to empower children to become confident and curious lifelong learners.
We are grateful for this collaboration and look forward to many more opportunities to share and celebrate our unique traditions together.
