Head of School's message
We were delighted to take the rest of our children on a successful off-site visit to the local park this week. The children represented our school beautifully, showing enthusiasm, curiosity, and excellent behaviour throughout the trip.

As part of our Healthy Me learning, the visit provided a real-life opportunity to develop vital road safety skills. Children practised stopping, looking, and listening carefully before crossing, and we were incredibly proud of how sensibly they followed instructions and kept themselves safe.

Linked to our literacy focus on Rosie’s Walk, the park environment became a perfect setting for exploring prepositional language. The children enjoyed using words such as under, over, around, and on as they described their movements and adventures around the space—bringing the story to life in a meaningful and memorable way.

We also saw wonderful progress in the children’s physical development, particularly their gross motor skills. The playground equipment offered excellent opportunities for climbing, balancing, and coordination, and it was fantastic to see their confidence growing as they challenged themselves.

Overall, the visit was a rich and rewarding experience that deepened learning across several areas of the curriculum. Thank you to our staff team for their support, and to our families for helping ensure the children were well-prepared for the day. We look forward to many more exciting learning experiences ahead.

They will learn about prepositions through participating in physical activities outside. This phase is crucial when developing understanding and language.

Healthy me, Healthy world
This Week during our Healthy Me sessions we are focusing on Road Safety. We will look at safe places to cross the road, different types of crossings and how to Cross the Road Safely. Remember to Stop! Look and Listen. Here is the link to a useful video about how to Cross the Road safely with your children.

Success story of the week
This week we have been busy little bakers! The children worked together to make their very own sourdough starter named "Sally", carefully feeding it each day and noticing the exciting changes as it bubbled and grew. At the end of the week, they helped to mix, knead, and shape the dough before baking their very own loaf. The best part, of course, was tasting the delicious bread they made!
This hands-on experience has been a wonderful way to nurture their curiosity, build confidence, and celebrate learning together. Whilst also, linking strongly to the EYFS curriculum by using mathematics, communication & language and understanding the world.

If you do any baking at home, please feel free to email in any photographs to be shared with your child/ren's keygroup.
