Head of School's Message

As we come to the end of our second week, I want to take a moment to share how proud we are of all our children and families during these early days. Our new starters have shown such courage and curiosity as they settle into their routines, build new friendships, and explore all that our nursery environment has to offer.

It has been wonderful to see their confidence blossom each day—whether it’s through creative play, sharing stories, or discovering the outdoors together. Our team is dedicated to nurturing every child’s unique interests and ensuring they feel safe, seen, and valued.

We know these little successes, from the first wave goodbye at the door to joining in group activities, are milestones worth celebrating!

Thank you, parents and carers, for your partnership, warmth, and open communication. Together, we are creating a supportive community where every child can thrive, and every family feels included in their child’s learning journey.

We look forward to many more weeks of joyful learning and growth.

Rhyme of the week

Next week's Rhyme of the week is 'it's raining, it's pouring.'

We will be using this rhyme to discuss the different types of weather outside and what we might need to wear during our transitions outside.

Language of the week

We are so lucky to have a rich and diverse community with lots of different languages.

From next week's newsletter we will be introducing our language of the week  and include links of how to say "Hello" and "Goodbye" in a chosen language.

You will then be able to practise with your child/ren at home.

Learning At Home

This week the children have been learning to sit cross legged when on the carpet at group time.

Sitting cross legged is good for increasing lower body flexibility, especially in the hips and knees, and improving posture and spinal alignment by strengthening core muscles.

Please practise this at home.

Success Story of the Week

The children have been learning lots of different ring games eg "Duck, Duck, Goose" and "What's the Time Mr Wolf".

This is a part of the collaborative play with an adult leading the session and children choosing to join in that activity.  They have then continued the games in smaller groups themselves independently.

It is a good way or learning to work as a team and in turn taking.

Lots of fun was had by all!
