We know that our families often need their children to be in school for longer than their funded hours. We endeavour to be as flexible as possible to meet the needs of all of our families. Spaces in each of our extended sessions is dependent upon availability. Ideally we would ask that you book a place for your child as far in advance as possible so that we can ensure we have sufficient staff. However, we know that there are times when you might need a place in one or more of our extended provision sessions at short notice-in this situation please call or email our admin team at firstname.lastname@example.org. All of these sessions are located in the Nursery building so that the children are familiar with the routines, the resources and the staff.
We have devised our different models to try to offer flexibility to meet the needs of the modern family. This has to be balanced with ensuring that staffing ratios are met to ensure that the safety of all children and continue to maintain our high quality provision.
Breakfast club starts at 8am. It is staffed by familiar staff members who work with the children throughout the day. The adult’s role, along with ensuring that children are safe, is to promote independence and encourage communication modelling social pleasantries and scaffolding language. Staff members use the session to develop children’s independence and self-help skills along with their communication skills.
We provide food and children are offered fruit, a range of cereal and toast with different spreads.
Lunch club is open from 11.30am – 12.30pm. We sit children 6 to a table and ensure that we have an adult at each table. The adult’s role, along with ensuring that children are safe, is to promote independence and encourage communication modelling social pleasantries and scaffolding language. At the end of the lunch session children take part in singing and ring games which provide them with further opportunities to listen, follow instructions and understand rhythm, rhyme and repetition.
Children are required to bring a packed lunch from home. If your child does not attend all day this session can be added onto the end of the morning session or at the beginning of the afternoon session.

We offer adhoc sessions which can be booked in addition to children’s funded 15 hours. These sessions are booked in 3 hour slots. These sessions are dependent upon availability and need to be booked in advance so we can ensure we have enough staff.
The after school club runs from 3.30 to 5.30pm although you can book your child in until 4.30 if you only require an extra hour. We give the children a light tea, which they help to make and prepare, then offer a range of activities to take part in dependent on their interests.
Please look at the three models offered for both 15 hour funded places and the 30 hour funded places. Come and see us if these do not quite meet your need. We are always happy to discuss different options but cannot guarantee that we will always be able to provide for all bespoke arrangements.
